Phil Lesh, Grace Potter, Michael Franti To Perform At Warren Haynes’ Christmas Jam

Warren Haynes has tapped some big names for his annual Christmas Jam.

The 25th installment of the concert, taking place December 13 and 14 at the US Cellular Center in Asheville, North Carolina, will feature Michael Franti, Haynes’ own band Gov’t Mule, Grace Potter & The Nocturnals, OAR, the Phil Lesh Quintet and the John Scofield Uberjam Band, among others.

The Christmas Jam will also showcase collaborations and supergroups, like that of The Aquarium Rescue Unit featuring guitarist Col. Bruce Hampton, Jimmy Herring (Widespread Panic), Oteil Burbridge (Allman Brothers Band), Jeff Sipe and Matt Slocum, and SCO-MULE, the collaboration between Gov’t Mule and guitar master John Scofield.

“I’m really excited and grateful to be celebrating the 25th Anniversary of The Christmas Jam with two big shows this December. We have a lot of great artists on board with more big names to be announced shortly, along with a few surprises,” said Haynes in a press release.

For the 15th year in a row, the Christmas Jam, which has provided twenty-four families with homes, will benefit the Asheville Area Habitat for Humanity.

The Grammy-Award winning vocalist-guitarist’s contributions have helped him earn an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters degree from UNC Asheville and become the namesake for the main road in a 54-house sub-division.
